Brian has over 30 years of experience in health administration, operations, & physician practice management & is very knowledgeable in JCAHO, HIPAA, CLIA, & OSHA. He has provided physician practice audits, start-ups, & divestitures nationally. He is a certified coding instructor, & ICD-10-CM Trainer, and is the original author of the CRC (Certified Risk Adjustment Coder) curriculum. Brian is recognized nationally for speaking engagements at many organizations conferences & has authored many articles for healthcare management, quality of care issues, & coding education. He is a past Richmond, VA AAPC chapter Vice President, President, & served on the National Advisory Board for the AAPC from 2015-2018. Brian has served as a representative on his Congressional District State Central Committee & was a founding member of the first LGBT Caucus for Virginia. He has worked with Senators and Congresspeople to change laws in the state for medical coding instructors and advocates for healthcare issues and other interests. He is a former board member of the Virginia Pride Coalition (modern day Virginia Pride) and a former community educator for the American Red Cross. He has a strong interest in clinical ethics, patient safety, & quality of care.

Lisa has over 20 years of healthcare experience and over 30 years of experience in workforce leadership, oversight, education and mentoring. She has a special interest in diagnosis coding and interventional radiology. Lisa was an editor of the original Official Risk Adjustment Curriculum offered nationally. She is talented in risk adjustment coding support and IT solutions while also serving the healthcare community with consulting in coding operations, team management, employee development, and leadership development. Lisa has a unique talent in the management and oversight of large volumes (by the hundreds) of staffing across the country while focusing on client deliverables of quality and timely results. She is exceptionally experienced in risk adjustment audit work to include RADV, HRADV, and DOJ and OIG audits.
A demonstrated achiever with 20+ years’ exceptional knowledge of healthcare compliance & managed care, including healthcare regulation, medical coding and reimbursement, curriculum development, healthcare reimbursement systems, and health information technology systems. Possesses a strong background in healthcare compliance with certifications in various healthcare fields including compliance, coding, billing and healthcare informatics. Seeking an executive level position in an inpatient, outpatient, or payer setting. Equally interested in a position in healthcare academia serving in distance education and training involving curriculum development and instruction in the areas of healthcare compliance, medical coding, billing, and administration.
